MANILA, Philippines — Gilas Pilipinas Women picked up where they left off, beating Vietnam, 21-14, in 3×3 women’s basketball event of the 30th Southeast Asian Games Monday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Philippines formalized its entry to the semifinal round after stretching its unbeaten streak to four.


Jack Animam led the Filipinos with eight points.

The Nationals wrap up their campaign in the preliminary round against Thailand.


Gilas is coming off a three-game sweep where it rolled past Myanmar, Malaysia and Indonesia in the first day of competitions Sunday.
