SEA Games: Pentaque, lawn bowls events rescheduled

NEW CLARK CITY — Petanque competitions were scrapped while lawn bowls had to cut short its schedule Tuesday due to Typhoon Tisoy.

Organizers decided to re-schedule the matches and folded up the entire arena located at the Clark Freeport grounds here.

They will resume competitions as soon as weather improved.

Lawn bowls, which brought a gold for the Philippines through Rodel Labayo in men’s pairs, was able to run preliminary matches.

But weather conditions forced organizers to suspend the competitions in the afternoon.
