SEA Games: PH underwater hockey teams grab double silver in 4×4

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippines bagged a double silver in men and women’s 4×4 underwater hockey of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games Wednesday at Vermosa Sports Hub in Imus.

The Filipinos settled for second place after losing to Singapore, 5-0, in the gold medal match. The Singaporeans scoring three goals in the first half alone.


In the women’s division, the Philippines also bowed to Singapore, 4-2, to claim the silver.

The Singaporeans jumped to an early 2-0 lead and while the Filipinos fought back by scoring two goals in the second half, their foes calmly put the game away two more goals.
