AFC Challenge Cup: PH Azkals trail Tajikistan, 0-1, in halftime

MANILA, Philippines – A controversial goal by Tajikistan just before halftime has the Philippines trail 0-1 in an all-important match in the AFC Challenge Cup at the Halchowk Stadium in Nepal.

The goal came in the 46th minute off a header which was hard to tell whether it crossed the line or not.

The Azkals played a stellar first half with more threatening plays, including a couple of clear attempts by striker Phil Younghusband — a shot on goal by Angel Guirado that just went over the bar.
