MANILA, Philippines—Caviar Acampado, Sibol’s Starcraft II bet, is assured at least of a silver medal in the Southeast Asian Games’ esports event after slipping past Hong Tran of Vietnam, 3-2, Friday at Flying-V Arena in San Juan.
“EnDerr” Acampado launched a multi-pronged push to neutralize Tran’s production line as the battle between Zerg players turned into a bace race.
Acampado, who swept Group B, shoots for the gold medal on Tuesday.
The victory gave the Filipino bet a 2-1 head-to-head edge over Tran, former WESG SEA Champion.
