SEA Games: Cebuana gymnast Daniela Dela Pisa wins gold in hoops event

MANILA, Philippines — Daniela Dela Pisa added another gold medal to Philippine gymnastics’ collection in the 30th Southeast Asian Games.
Dela Pisa collected three medals on Saturday, highlighted by a golden performance in the women’s rhythmic gymnastics hoop event where she dazzled the crowd at Rizal Memorial Coliseum.
The 16-year-old Dela Pisa bet also bagged two bronze medals in rhythmic gymnastics ball and clubs.
The Cebuana tallied a score of 17.750 in hoop to top a pair of Malaysian gymnasts Izzah Amzan (16.500) and Amy Dict Kwan (15.900), who won the silver and bronze, respectively.
Just recently, world champion gymnast Carlo Yulo wrapped up his SEA Games with two golds and five silvers in artistic gymnastics.
