SEA Games: PH’s Jean Claude Saclag enters kickboxing final

MANILA, Philippines–Jean Claude Saclag of the Philippines punched his ticket to the gold medal round of the Southeast Asian Games’ kickboxing event Monday at Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay.

He was ferocious right from the start of the -63.5kg low kick duel against Vietnam’s The Huong Nguyen, who he dominated, 3-0.

Saclag, an Asian Games silver medalist, kept his foot on the pedal to earn 13-5, 10-6 and 7-4 from the judges.

The victory assures the Filipino of at least a silver medal in the event.
