MANILA, Philippines–Jerry Olsim of the Philippines bagged the gold medal in the -69kg kick light event of the Southeast Asian Games kickboxing at Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay.
Olsim defeated Thailand’s Srayut Klinming for a 3-0 decision and deliver the first gold for the Philippine contingent.
The 24-year-old athlete, who is also a pro fighter for Team Lakay in a popular MMA circuit, drew 22-11, 16-8, and 19-6 scores from the judges.
