MANILA, Philippines— Caviar “EnDerr” Acampado lived up to his lofty billing, winning the Philippines’ third gold medal in the Southeast Asian Games’ esports competition Tuesday at Flying-V Arena in San Juan.

The 27-year-old Acampado, who was the first in Sibol to assure the hosts a medal, scored a 4-1 victory over Singapore’s Thomas Kopankiewicz in the StarCraft II event.

Acampado, a WESG SEA Champion, was the heavy favorite to win it all.

The Philippines could further hike its gold medal haul when Tekken 7 bets Andreij Albar and Alexandre Laverez plunge into action in the afternoon.

Sibol won its second gold medal Monday night in Dota II.
