Cavite ESports League and the City of Imus will play host to an esports event that may prove to be a historical turning point for the industry in the years to come. It has introduced video gaming as a crowd sourcing medium of competitive gathering.
With eight districts submitting teams across six games: Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Dota 2, Special Force, Counter Strike Global Offensive, Rules of Survival, League of Legends, Tekken 7 and NBA 2k19, finalists who qualified over the last six months will go at it for a chance to win a lucrative amount from the total prize pool of P750,000 pesos from the organizers – OverPower.
“Overpower is creating a platform by the gamers and for the gamers. Through localize leagues like the Cavite Esports League, we try to nurture an already rich gaming culture that promotes wellness, responsible gaming and healthy competition. Our goal is to discover the next big thing, the Manny Pacquiao of Esports,” said Glen John Labasug, President of Overpower.
The event which will run from December 14-15, 2019 at Imus Sports Complex will also feature an open for all tournaments across different gaming platforms, cosplay, and a travel vlog competition. Admission is free.
This event is part of the Paskuhan sa Imus 2019 and isesp sponsored by event Sinalco, Ascott Limited, Pinoy Electonic Store Online (PESO) and Klean Athlete.
