The balance of power in the Premier Volleyball League is restored.
At least that’s what PetroGazz hopes it achieved after powering up with three key acquisitions in the preseason.
The only squad equipped to challenge powerhouse Creamline, PetroGazz on Thursday announced that it signed up returning star Grethcel Soltones, topnotch setter Ivy Perez and opposite spiker Jerrili Malabanan, boosting a roster that already has an offensive core made up of Jeanette Panaga, Jonah Sabete and Cherry Nunag.
It’s still not as glittery as the Creamline lineup made up of Alyssa Valdez, Michele Gumabao, Jia Morado, Risa Sato and Jema Galanza, but the Angels definitely gained in firepower in Soltones and Malabanan, who are coming from stints with PLDT in the Philippine Superliga.
