MANILA, Philippines — After another failed title bid, TNT shook up its roster anew on Tuesday.
The KaTropa added additional firepower after striking a deal with the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters, acquiring the services of Ed Daquioag in exchange for three future second round picks, the PBA announced on its social media accounts Tuesday.
In the trade, Rain or Shine claimed the rights to TNT’s picks in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Getting the 28-year-old Daquioag came just eight days after TNT sent Mike DiGregorio and its 2023 second round pick to Alaska for point guard Simon Enciso.
The KaTropa are coming off a semifinals exit in the Governors’ Cup where they lost to Meralco in a best-of-five series.
TNT hasn’t won a title since the 2015 Commissioner’s Cup.
