Parker shines as Spurs hold off Thunder
LOS ANGELES – Tony Parker scored 25 points and Tim Duncan and DeJuan Blair added “double-doubles” as San Antonio beat the Thunder in Oklahoma City 114-105 Friday in a clash of top NBA Western Conference teams.
Parker also handed out seven assists. Blair scored 22 points with 11 rebounds and Duncan added 16 points and 19 rebounds for the Spurs, who had all five starters score in double figures.
Danny Green scored 21 and Kawhi Leonard chipped in 15 as the Spurs notched their third straight victory. Southwest Division leaders San Antonio improved to 29-13.
Russell Westbrook led the Thunder with a game-high 36 points. Kevin Durant added 25 for Oklahoma City, who trailed by as many as 27 but closed to within two points three times, before San Antonio turned back the challenge for good.
