National coaches will enjoy a substantial increase in their monthly paycheck, with those identified as Class A coming from different sports to get an increase of $2,000 (just over P100,000) from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC).

Assistant coaches will likewise get a raise worth $1,500 (P75,000), according to PSC Chair Butch Ramirez. The PSC chief said they would assess the performance of all coaches under the agency’s payroll and classify each of them to determine the salary increase.

Head coaches normally comprise the Class A category while assistant coaches and trainers are classified under Classes B and C, respectively.
