MANILA, Philippines—As quick as Conor McGregor ended Donald Cerrone, was boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. calling a rematch with the fighting Irishman.
Mayweather posted on his Instagram account a mock poster suggesting a second fight between him and McGregor could happen in the near future.
McGregor, who scored a 40-second technical knockout win over Cerrone in UFC 246, had a one-off boxing match with Mayweather (50-0) back in 2017 that ended in a 10th round stoppage for the American.
Mayweather, though, took things up a notch when he also posted another mock-up poster this time teasing a bout against UFC world lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The legendary boxer did have a deal with UFC president Dana White about a collaboration wherein he will fight whether atop a ring or inside the Octagon.
