Jaja Santiago powers Japanese squad to semis stint

Jaja Santiago displayed her brilliance in helping her squad Saitama Ageo Medics make the semifinals of the V.League Division 1 on Sunday.

As per the V.League website, Santiago pumped in 20 points as the Ageo Medics rallied to beat NEC Red Rockets, 25-20, 16-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-12, at Funabashi Arena in Chiba, Japan.


With the win, the Ageo Medics wrapped up its Final 8 campaign in Group A with seven points and a 3-0 record good for only second place behind Denso Airybees.

The 23-year-old Santiago hopes to sustain her form in the semifinals where Ageo Medics clashes with Group B first-placer JT Marvelous on Saturday at Yoyogi National Stadium.
