Philippines to host Fiba 3×3 World Tour Masters in May
MANILA, Philippines–The world’s best 3×3 teams will be back in the Philippines for the Fiba 3×3 World Tour Masters.
Fiba has announced that Manila will stage the second Masters tournament scheduled on May 2-3 at SM Megamall Fashion Hall.
Expected to compete in the event are powerhouse squads Novi Sad, Riga Ghetto, Liman and NY Harlem.
“Last year, 3×3 basketball once again entered the collective consciousness of the Filipino people. We had three conferences in our local league while also having two international tournaments here, namely the world’s first-ever Super Quest and the Manila Challenger,” Ronald Mascariñas, league owner of Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas 3×3, said.
“We needed to continue that momentum and what better way to do so than hosting a World Tour Masters,” said Mascariñas, who helped bring a World Tour leg back in Manila for the first time since 2014 and 2015.
This year, the World Tour will have 13 Masters events. The World Tour Finals will take place in November in Riyadh.
Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas is also planning to host another Super Quest later this year.
