McGregor raring to beat Pacquiao

Ultimate Fighting Championship star Conor McGregor is not after only the legendary Manny Pacquiao.

The Notorious, who made a rousing comeback inside the UFC Octagon at T-Mobile Arena on Sunday in Las Vegas, felt wholly recharged and cried he was ready to face anybody.

“Anyone of them,” McGregor howled.

Leading the list were Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Senator Pacquiao, if the Irish chooses to box again after a smashing return to mixed martial arts (MMA).

McGregor was smashed by Mayweather in his brief,

unsuccessful foray into boxing in 2017.

Said Sean Gibbons, president of the Manny Pacquiao Promotions: “The senator against McGregor is more interesting because there are a lot of unknown things that play into the fight. The senator brings a lot of fresh looks.”

Said McGregor: “I think I’d beat him. I did well against Mayweather. I hit him more than Manny hit him. What a fight that would be. He’s a small southpaw. I’d have to figure out the weight and these type of things.”

For the record, Pacquiao did wish McGregor well, telling him to do his best in his MMA comeback.

McGregor faded, got lost and wild after the Mayweather fight. He figured in run-ins with the law was involved in several bar brawls.

He had been practically written off.

The Sunday fight however showed his charm and drawing power, with an estimated 16,000 fans showing up at T-Mobile. McGregor is said to have a total of 34 million followers on social media.

For his recycling, McGregor said he trained very seriously and dumped his favorite whisky flask.

McGregor appeared fierce and flashy on Sunday, when he took out Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone in 40 seconds.

Another view of the brief match would bare it was nothing but a nasty mismatch.

Cerrone did not do anything in taking his 17th defeat. He was no cowboy, but a cold scarecrow. He remained stiff, frozen as McGregor opened up with sharp shoulder shoves, followed by a kick to the head, before the total trampling on the floor.

Of course, there’s nothing clear how a Pacquiao-McGregor would be launched.

All that’s clear is that McGregor is raring to fight Pacquiao.

“An inspiration of mine is to wear a boxing world title,” McGregor declared. “It would be a phenomenal feather in the cap and something I will achieve.”
