Jaja Santiago, Ageo Medics win bronze in Japan V.League

Jaja Santiago ended her second season with Japanese club Saitama Ageo Medics in the V.League Division 1 on a winning note Sunday.

The Filipino reinforcement fired nine attacks and one block to help Ageo Medics blank Denso Airybees, 25-22, 25-22, 25-20, in the bronze medal match at Yoyogi National Stadium in Tokyo, Japan.

Saitama redeemed itself after dropping a 16-25, 18-25, 22-25 decision to JT Marvelous on Saturday in the semifinals.

Croatian import Katarina Barun led the Ageo Medics with 24 points built on 22 attacks.

Ageo Medics made the Final Four for the first time after fending off the NEC Red Rockets in five sets last week.
