MANILA, Philippines—Philippines’ Gina Iniong got her third win in four bouts after scoring a unanimous decision win over Asha Roka of India in the undercard of ONE: Fire and Fury Friday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Team Lakay’s atomweight stalwart used her wrestling to take control of Roka, a fighter renowned for her striking.

Iniong (9-4) sent Roka to the mat at the start of the first round and employed a similar game plan until the end of the second round where she nearly locked in a guillotine choke that Roka (4-2) managed to prevent.

“I’m happy with the fight even though I wasn’t able to finish it with a submission,” said Iniong, who won the Southeast Asian Games gold medal in kickboxing last December.

Iniong was coming off a split decision win over Hayatun Jihin Radzuan. Her lone loss in her past four fights was against Istela Nunes.

Roka tried to look for the knockout in the third but Iniong was able to dodge the strikes with relative quickness.
