MANILA, Philippines—Lito Adiwang showed why he’s called the Thunder Kid, obliterating Thailand’s Pongsiri Mitsatit in their strawweight bout in ONE: Fire and Fury Friday at Mall of Asia Arena.

Team Lakay’s up and comer dominated Mitsatit, tapping his opponent out with a kimura lock 3:02 into the first round.

Adiwang (11-2) upped his impressive winning streak to seven bouts with six of those wins ending via knockout or submission.

“Ever since I matured in mixed martial arts, the key was really my mindset,” said Adiwang. “No matter how strong you are, or how good you are, I’ll put in my mind that I can beat you anyway.”

Adiwang electrified the crowd early after he landed a vicious kick down Mitsatit’s (10-5) head then turned his Thai foe into a sentient punching bag.

Mitsatit countered with his wrestling and got control of Adiwang’s midsection but that was only the beginning of his end as the Team Lakay stalwart got hold of the Thai’s right arm for the kimura.
