The tough stretch of games in the last two weeks took its toll on San Miguel Alab Pilipinas as the Filipino ball club absorbed its worst loss of the Asean Basketball League season late on Tuesday night at Maba Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
Pouncing on a lethargic performance from the road team, the KL Dragons crushed Alab Pilipinas, 91-63, and snapped the Filipinos’ two-game winning streak.
Alab couldn’t seem to get going on both ends as it shot poorly and also struggled to stop KL imports Will Artino and Cade Davis in a forgettable performance.
Consistency has remained an issue for coach Jimmy Alapag and his team as it came out with little energy following a strength-sapping stretch of games.
“We have been up and down the past two weeks and it’s something that we need to address,” Alapag said.
