UAAP juniors basketball stepladders semis resumes

MANILA, Philippines—The UAAP Season 82 juniors’ basketball tournament is back and it’s heading straight into an all-important match between Adamson University and Far Eastern University-Diliman.

The No. 2 Baby Tamaraws hold a twice-to-beat advantage over the no.4 Baby Falcons in their stepladder semifinals series that will be playe on Friday 3 pm at Filoil Flying V Center.

A win for Adamson would force a rubber match next Tuesday, at the same venue.

Defending champion Nazareth School of National University received a finals bye courtesy of its 14-0 elimination round sweep and will play the winner between FEU and Adamson.

Meanwhile, the second round of the girls’ division will start on Saturday at Paco Arena.

Adamson, which holds a tournament-best 5-0 card, already advanced to the finals but will close out its elimination round campaign against winless Ateneo (0-5) in the second game at 11 am.

University of Santo Tomas (3-2) will square up against De La Salle (2-3) in the first game at 9 am.
