Lacerna wins Classified Masters in 6th GMTBC-Yee Lu Fa Open; Nuqui tops Youth division

CAINTA, Rizal — Michael Lacerna won the Classified Masters title in the 6th Grand Mall Tenpin Bowling Club (GMTBC)-Yee Lu Fa Open held on Saturday at the Sta. Lucia Mall Bowling Center in Cainta, Rizal.

Lacerna, a member of the Sta. Lucia East Tenpin Bowling Association (Sletba) Youth team, posted a total score of 1991 in his 10-game series to pull away from his more senior and experienced rivals.

Francis Jose of PTBA was second with 1974, followed by Jason Ko of Sletba with 1949.

It was a closely fought finals that saw lead changes as players battled tough lane conditions, but Lacerna managed to pull through and hung on to the lead in the last three games.

In the Mixed Youth finals held earlier that day, Patrick Nuqui of PBA-Prima ruled the field.

Nuqui posted a total score of 1695, followed by Dale Lazo of TBAM-Prima with 1671, and Cole Co of ACBI-Prima with 1665.

The finals of the Senior and Open Master classes will be staged on Sunday, March 1.
