MANILA, Philippines—The COVID-19 pandemic has turned into a standstill with the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, prompting sports leagues in the Philippines to suspend their operations including the PBA.
This, however, has allowed the league’s dads to spend some quality time with their families.
Blackwater head coach Nash Racela, who has always seen as a model father among sports circles, showcased his vocal talents as he sang some tunes with daughter Lauren.
With PBA teams now allowed to practice, a lot of players have been active on social media including San Miguel’s Arwind Santos. He had help from his son in constructing a mahjong table but also reminded anyone who would join him for a game to wear masks “just to be safe.”
Magnolia power forward Marc Pingris led his household in doing some dance exercises but it was mostly his wife Danica who did most of the work.
Hotshots coach Chito Victolero, meanwhile, did the hard work doing some cardio and also watching over his kids Carlos and Charles play in the pool.
