Ross, Hodge contribute to Cariaso’s donation drive for PBA non-regular staff

MANILA, Philippines—Chris Ross also pledged to help  PBA personnel who are facing financial problems with the league’s suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

San Miguel’s illustrious point guard said he is donating P20,000 to the donation drive led by Alaska head coach Jeffrey Cariaso that will aid PBA’s non-regular personnel during the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine.

Ross’ monetary donation is a match to Meralco forward Cliff Hodge’s pledge to help Cariaso in his fund-raiser.

“I’ll match!” posted Ross on Twitter as a reply to Hodge’s tweet to Cariaso.

The PBA’s game-day personnel don’t have guaranteed wages and are instead given daily allowances whenever the league plays its matches.

Ross and Hodge joined other PBA players Kiefer Ravena, Harvey Carey, and Nico Salva in providing financial assistance for PBA’s contractual game-day staff.
