MANILA, Philippines—Kiefer Ravena and his family extended their help towards the frontliners who are helping to contain the COVID-19 spread in Metro Manila.
Just before the 8 pm curfew hit, Kiefer together with brother Thirdy distributed packed meals that included rice, salad, and Chooks-to-Go chicken to military checkpoints in Cainta, Rizal.
Cainta has become a virtual border with the city already on the farthest eastern side of Metro Manila.
“We’re proud that our local government headed by Mayor Kit Nieto has been doing a great job in alerting and letting the people of Cainta know what we have to do,” said Kiefer. “It’s important that we help the frontliners against COVID-19 because they’re the ones who are sacrificing their health for the country.”
“We give a huge thanks to the healthworkers, nurses, doctors, scientists, and everyone. Apart from our prayers, this is our way of helping them.”
Packing their donations also became a familial activity for the Ravenas with youngest sister Dani, mother Mozzy, father Bong all helping out.
Alyssa Valdez, Kiefer’s girlfriend, and family friend Aldrin Ignacio also helped out.
