The Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) remains committed in doing its share in helping the country fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Aside from offering the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex and the PhilSports facility to house patients on Sunday, the sports agency has donated 220 mattresses to five hospitals and a testing center being set up by the University of the Philippines Philippine Genome Center (UP-PGC) volunteers.

A total of 90 mattresses have been provided for health workers from Medical Center Manila, Emilio Aguinaldo College Medical Center Cavite, Fe Del Mundo Medical Center and Capitol Medical Center, while 30 more were distributed to barangay tanods serving these hospitals.

One hundred more mattresses were given to the UP-PGC volunteers, who decided to give half of the donation to the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.
