St. Clare joins battle vs COVID-19
Five-time National Athletics Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities men’s basketball champion St. Clare has joined in the efforts to help the front-liners in the fight against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
It will also be a thanksgiving gesture for the Caloocan-based school, which has a lot of players living in the most populated areas of Metro Manila, some in areas tagged as virus hot spots.
“We are thankful because nobody among my players are sick despite the fact that they live in barangays congested with people,” said St. Clare president Ernesto Jay Adalem.
Adalem said he is contacting several former players who are now in the police force to help facilitate their efforts.
