MANILA, Philippines — NLEX star Kiefer Ravena continued to dish out timely assists during the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ravena set up a rolling store in front of his family home in Cainta and sold chicken products so his neighbors won’t have to go out of their subdivision during the lockdown.
Joining him was his younger brother Thirdy, girlfriend Alyssa Valdez, and fellow Ateneo alum Adrian Wong as they spent the whole Saturday catering to their neighbors.
“This is our way of extending our help to the community,” said Ravena, who’s also the captain of the Philippine men’s basketball team.
“We saw that they were having a difficult time lining up for groceries especially the elderly so we thought of a way that we’ll be the ones who’ll bring chicken to them,” he added in Filipino.
This wasn’t the first time Ravena lent a hand as he also delivered food packs to the frontliners manning the quarantine checkpoints in Cainta.
