MANILA, Philippines — Philippine volleyball star Alyssa Valdez extended her help to the country’s frontliners against the coronavirus disease by raffling off a jersey she wore during the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
Valdez’s jersey will be raffled off at Volleyball Community Gives Back (VCGB), which recently launched a campaign for the gallant health workers leading the Filipinos’ fight against the deadly virus.
“This is my way of serving our frontliners, this is memorable for me because a lot has happened in 2019 and this was what I wore in our final game against Indonesia,” said Valdez in Filipino in a video posted on VCGB’s Twitter account.
