Blackwater owner extends financial aids to employees during ECQ
MANILA, Philippines—Blackwater team owner Dioceldo Sy extended financial help to his more than 1,800 employees of Ever Bilena Cosmetics Inc., the franchise that owns the ball club.
This move coincided with the national government’s decision that moved the end of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine from April 12 to April 30.

Despite cash flow being tight due to ECQ, Sy said he’s in the business because of his employees.
Sy, who was named Entrepreneur of the Year in the 2018 Asia CEO Awards, also advised his employees to use their money wisely.

“I believe that once this pandemic ends, we will emerge from this stronger than ever,” said Sy. “There will be a need for some sacrifices, but as long as we work together, we will survive.”
