True to her word, Morado provides PPEs to 14 hospitals

MANILA, Philippines — Jia Morado kept her promise in donating personal protective equipment to 14 hospitals battling the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The national team setter posted on Twitter Saturday that her Every Little Thing Counts campaign has successfully supplied the necessary hospitals with PPEs that she purchased from donations given to her since March 26.

“As of today, with your tremendous love and support for our frontliners, we’ve successfully fulfilled our pledge of supplying PPEs for 14 hospitals,” tweeted Morado.

“So blessed to have been part of this journey of sending hope #ForOurFrontlinersPH with you! Looking forward to our next!”

A total of P1,028,031.75 were donated to Morado’s initiative that were used to purchase 1,600 PPE suits, 4,000 pairs of surgical gloves, and 3,700 pieces of KN95 masks.

Rebisco—the mother company of Morado’s club team Creamline—helped in transporting the supplies, which began on April 25, to the 14 hospitals that received the donation.

Philippine General Hospital, Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, Carmona Hospital and Medical Center, Fe Del Mundo Medical Center, Gapan City District Hospital, Good Samaritan General Hospital, Lung Center of the Philippines, Nueva Ecija Doctors’ Hospital-Cabantuan, Pagamutang Bayan ng Carmona, Philippine Children’s Medical Center, Quarantine Facility Gapan C.H.O, Quezon City General Hospital, San Juan Medical Center, and Veterans Memorial Medical Center were the recipients of Morado’s campaign.
