SMB guard Von Pessumal, beauty queen Laura Lehmann get engaged

MANILA, Philippines — There’s no stopping Von Pessumal and Laura Lehmann from professing their love to each other.

With the country still in lockdown due to the coronavirus disease pandemic, the longtime couple made their engagement known to public through social media Monday.

The 25-year-old Lehmann, who was crowned Miss World Philippines 2017, wrote “Yes” along with the date “May 3, 2020” on her Instagram.

Pessumal, the 27-year-old San Miguel guard, meanwhile, said he’s “lockdowned for life.”

The two began dating back when Pessumal was still with playing at Ateneo in college and Lehmann was the courtside reporter for the Blue Eagles during UAAP Season 77 and 78.
