Bradley: I need my ‘A’ game

IN the deep recesses of Timothy Bradley’s mind lies a dauntless, supremely sharp Manny Pacquiao.

For several years, the unbeaten Bradley has been watching Pacquiao’s fights, studying his moves, looking for flaws, and crafting a plan just in case they meet in the ring.

Finally given that chance on June 9, Bradley feels he is up to the challenge of wresting the WBO welterweight crown from the eight-division Filipino world champion.

“I’ve been studying this guy (Pacquiao) for years now, so I already got a plan,” Bradley told Percy Crawford of Fighthype.com recently. “So like, I don’t even have to watch film because he’s already into my cranium; he’s already into my brain. I ain’t watching film; I’ve been watching film. I do my studying way before the fight happens.

“All I got to do is show up and execute the plan. If I show up and execute the plan, I’m going to win the fight.”

Though he’s unbeaten (28-0, 12 KOs) and holds rein in the WBO light welterweight division, Bradley admits he will need a special performance to topple Pacquiao (54-3-2, 38KOs).

“For Manny Pacquiao, I’m going to have to bring my ‘A’ game,” Bradley told BoxingScene.com.’s Keith Idec.  “It’s going to come out. It has to come out.”

Bradley acknowledged that failure to give the championship challenge his best shot will put to naught all his years of planning.
