Gabe Norwood’s dunk over Luis Scola nominated for Fiba Dunk of Decade

MANILA, Philippines—Dunks are pretty much a common scene in basketball, yet there are still those that are more memorable than some others.

Take for example Gabe Norwood’s yam over Argentina’s Luis Scola during Gilas Pilipinas’ run in the 2014 Fiba World Cup.

Norwood’s flight against Scola has been regarded as one of the top plays not just of that tournament but of the whole decade and Fiba deemed it worthy to put in a dunk bracket that will determine the best hammer throw in all of its competitions from 2010 to 2020.

Voting on the Fiba’s website started on June 10 and will end on June 28. Fans can cast one vote a day and have a chance to win an official Fiba basketball.

There are 32 dunks in total and Norwood’s jam is pitted against Australian Mitch Creek’s filthy throwdown over Lee Kai-Yan of Chinese Taipei in the 2019 Fiba World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

Voters can vote once a day and fans who’ve participated in the voting can win an official Fiba basketball.
