MANILA, Philippines — Mark Calaway, better known as The Undertaker, has retired from World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

Calaway, who began his professional wrestling career in 1987 and made his WWE debut three years later, announced his retirement Monday (Manila time) in the final episode of “The Last Ride” documentary on WWE Network.

“You can never appreciate how long the road was until you’ve driven to the end,” Calaway tweeted.

“This time, the cowboy really rides away.”

He last faced AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36 in a “Boneyard Match” three months ago.
