MANILA, Philippines—With still no concrete plans for next year’s UAAP season, Far Eastern University’s Ken Tuffin is taking advantage of playing in New Zealand.
The Tamaraws’ captain debuted for Taranaki in the New Zealand National Basketball League on Wednesday.
Tuffin saw action for 23 minutes and contributed 10 points, four rebounds, and two steals in the Mountainairs’ 107-95 win over Francis.
It was Taranaki’s second game of the season. It faces Canterbury Rams on Saturday.
Tuffin wasn’t able to play in the team’s opener as he still awaited clearance from the UAAP but he made immediate impact the moment he got on the floor.
With a year left in his collegiate eligibility, Tuffin will no doubt return to the Tamaraws for the UAAP Season 83 men’s basketball tournament.
