MANILA, Philippines — The wait is over as ONE Championship is finally set to resume regular programming next month after a long hiatus due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Chatri Sityodtong, founder and CEO of ONE, announced Friday that the martial arts promotion’s return will be held behind closed doors in Thailand on July 31 with ONE: No Surrender-its first flagship event since Singapore’s “King of the Jungle” in February.
“ONE: No Surrender will be a closed-door, audience-free stadium event for live global broadcast,” Sityodtong posted on Facebook.

“The world is suffering from the worst global crisis in a hundred years. Most national borders remain closed across Asia. With zero visibility and weekly COVID-19 policy changes in every country, it has been impossible to plan anything. Thank you to the greatest team in the world for your heart and hustle. #gratitude #WeAreONE.”
ONE tested the water first with back-to-back ONE Hero Series events in Shanghai. China last June 20 and 21.
