Kicking tilt eyes record

/ 04:20 AM July 04, 2020

The innovative speed-kicking tournament seeks to set a record on number of kicks per minute—somewhere around the vicinity of 95.

The Online National Speed-Kicking Championships, slated on July 11 and 12, has drawn almost 1,500 entries and Philippine Taekwondo Association executive vice president Sung Chon Hong said a decent taekwondo jin could muster 70-80 kicks in 60 seconds.

But a national player has recently posted 95 “clean and well-executed” kicks in one minute.

That tournament will serve as test event for the inaugural world speed kicking championships in October.
