Owner puts Blackwater up for sale for P150 million

MANILA, Philippines–Blackwater owner Dioceldo Sy said on Wednesday that he is putting his Elite team in the PBA up for sale, hours after reports came out that he will be fined by the league and the Games and Amusements Board for alleged violation of safety and health protocols.

“At least P150 million,” Sy told the Inquirer over the phone. “If someone will buy it for that much, then I will sell. If there are no takers, then we will continue (participating in the PBA).”

This decision of Sy has yet to reach the Office of the PBA commissioner and the board, which will actually sanction the sale of one of its franchises, has also yet to be informed of this.
