Big Chill eyes 4th straight victory

BIG Chill guns for a fourth straight victory under new coach Robert Sison when the Superchargers clash with Blackwater Sports in the PBA D-League Foundation Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Game time is at 2 p.m. with the Superchargers and Elite, both carrying 3-1 records, contesting solo second spot behind the NLEX Road Warriors.

Cebuana Lhuillier hopes to bounce back against the Cagayan Rising Suns in the curtain-raiser at 12 noon.

The Gems are dealing with injuries to key players Kevin Alas, Yousif Taha and Lester Alvarez and coach Luigi Trillo has the unenviable task of shaking up the roster and finding the right combinations.

“We have to fix ourselves first,” said Trillo. “Trying different combinations has been my priority at the moment.”

The Rising Suns are still looking for their first victory after three straight losses. But they will have coach Alvin Pua back from suspension following an incident in the pre season where he hit a game official.

After dropping its first assignment to NLEX, Big Chill has flashed renewed confidence with Sison at the helm.

Sison has infused a system predicated on a stingy defense that leads to a fluid offense that has worked wonders for the Superchargers, who have a wide array of gunners and players thriving in transition.

“Right now, we just want to continue our winning ways,” said Sison.
