MANILA, Philippines—Former national team member Christine Baldonado displayed the form that made her a Philippine bet, chalking two wins over the weekend to become the poomsae artist with the most number of wins so far in the Smart-Philippine Taekwondo Association League at the Ateneo College covered courts.

Baldonado beat Letran’s Ericka Alvaran before walking over a bet from University of the East for her fifth win in the league, which will take a month-long break.

Julia Munar of San Beda bested Trisha Cucio of the University of Santo Tomas to trail Baldonado with four wins, but fell to Macy Jill Basco of College of St. Benilde.

Also posting wins in the women’s seniors poomsae were Teresita Viola of San Sebastian College who had two walkover wins, and Ynah Bonifacio of La Salle Manila who stumped Alavaran.

La Salle Manila’s Rjay del Rosario led the winners in the men’s seniors with a win over Ateneo’s Raymond Bermejo.
