MANILA, Philippines — Eager to return to action, NLEX is preserving more than one bubble environment amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Road Warriors head coach Yeng Guiao thinks it’s best to maintain two bubbles, including one at home, in an attempt to stay virus-free.
“If you preserve these bubbles, there’s a good chance you can sustain it,” said Guiao on Power and Play.
“I have strong belief (we will be able to resume) but we have to have the necessary precautions. It’s really important to have your own bubble,” he said.
In sustaining both bubbles, the Road Warriors have prohibited members of their team to have guests, who are not within their family, inside their household.
“What we’re doing it preserving two bubbles. First is family of your household. We told them that anybody not within your family/household is alien. Don’t let them inside your bubble.”
The multi-titled mentor also said the team doctor has been regularly keeping track of the players’ whereabouts.
“You can’t really watch over them 24 hours a day but we monitor them as much as we can even with our limitation. What our doctor does is he calls up the players and ask them of their activities and who they’re with.”
