Jones teases heavyweight move, Miocic fight
MANILA, Philippines—The UFC could see another double champion in the near future if Jon Jones’ wish is granted and the two parties patch up their relationship.
Jones was live-tweeting the heavyweight championship match between champion Stipe Miocic and rival Daniel Cormier when the light heavyweight titleholder decided to tease a move up a weight class and possibly challenge for the belt.

“This is exciting for me. For some reason, these heavyweights don’t seem so big to me tonight.”
Jones, 33, is listed at 205 pounds and stands at 6-foot-4 with an 84.5-inch reach making him one of the biggest light heavyweights in the promotion, and that size of his will also make him a suitable heavyweight in case he makes the jump.

The UFC and Jones, however, have a testy relationship at the moment after a deal for a super fight against Francis Ngannou fell apart.
Jones then threatened to vacate his title and at one point was willing to sit out of competition for two or three years if it meant exposing UFC’s negotiating tactics.
