KUALA LUMPUR—Antonio Lascuña matched par 72 in the third round and remained in contention for a top-20 finish in the weather-disrupted $2.5 million Maybank Malaysian Open Saturday.

With earlier rounds of 67-74, the dusky, 42-year-old Lascuña was tied for 25th place with a 3-under 213 total in the co-sanctioned Asian Tour and European Tour event.

Angelo Que and Mars Pucay, the two other Filipinos in the field, earlier failed to survive the 36-hole cut. Que missed the cut by one stroke with rounds of 73-72 while Pucay was two off the qualifying mark with scores of 74-72.

South African star Louis Oosthuizen, the 2010 British Open champion, took a one-shot lead at 13-under through 10 holes of his third round when play was suspended due to a lightning storm. Asian Tour News
