CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –– Pampanga Gov. Dennis Pineda said the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) should choose the Clark Freeport when it decides to resume its 45th season in a bubble set-up, calling the eco-zone ideal in terms of location, facilities, and security.
Pineda expressed his backing of the PBA bubble in Clark when interviewed at the end of the conference of the National Task Force Against COVID-19 on Wednesday.
He said governors in Central Luzon, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority, and Clark Development Corp. would assist to make the bubble possible and successful. It is similar to the one being staged by the NBA in Disneyland in Florida.
“The players, officials, and staff will feel at home,” said the governor who manages several Kapampangan cagers.
In a bubble, athletes are protected from the pandemic because they are confined to play and stay in designated courts and other facilities during the tournament
