Former tennis coach Jacinto “Butch” Navarro Bacani, 69, passed away on Wednesday due to cardiac arrest. Survived by wife, Diana, sisters Azucena Bacani-Dizon and Edna Bacani-Droegemeyer and brother, Eleuterio “Lee” Navarro Bacani, he was cremated on Thursday at Sanctuarium Funeral, in Quezon City. Bacani was nonplaying captain of the 1988 PH Davis Cup squad that scored an upset over Japan.
