Eric Altamirano, Chooks-To-Go Pilipinas 3×3 chief and league owner Ronald Mascariñas are back at the drawing boards as they try to convince the government to give them the go signal to hold their tournament next month.
“As of now, we are studying all options—including possibly [doing a] full bubble,” Altamirano, a professional and collegiate champion coach, told the Inquirer on Friday.
Mascariñas is backing that suggestion, especially after the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) denied their application to hold competitions.
The specialized league, which turned pro only in late July, was eyeing to stage its President’s Cup at Inspire Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna province.
Twelve teams were supposed to lock horns in four legs spanning two weeks.
In fact, the league conducted a test run last Monday, which even earned high praises from Abraham Mitra, the chair of the Games and Amusements Board.
But their version of a bubble was deemed below standard by the Department of Health.
But the Chooks-To-Go group vowed to accelerate its push for a green light.
