TNT undergoes name change ahead of PBA restart
MANILA, Philippines — TNT hopes to live up to its new name when the PBA resumes its season in Clark, Pampanga.
The franchise will now be known as Tropang Giga moving on from its KaTropa monicker that it carried since 2016.
In a statement, the team said that Giga was derived from the Greek word “gigs” which means giant.
“We don’t just go big, we always go giga!” said the team.
This is the team’s fifth name change since it became part of the Smart Communications umbrella.
